News,............. Seorang Mark Zuckerberg Menjadi CEO Perusahaan Amerika Paling Populer

i antara sekian banyak CEO perusahaan besar Amerika, nama Mark Zuckerberg ternyata menjadi yang paling populer. Hal tersebut pun diungkapkan oleh situs dunia kerja bernama Glassdoor.com.

Mereka pun merilis beberapa nama CEO yang memiliki hubungan baik dengan para karyawannya. Di antara sekian banyak CEO perusahaan di Amerika, Mark Zuckerberg mendapatkan rating yang tertinggi, yakni sebesar 97 persen.
Di tempat kedua, juga merupakan pimpinan jejaring sosial, yakni Twitter. CEO Twitter, Dick Costolo berada di posisi kedua dengan rating sebesar 96 persen. Selanjutnya pimpinan Google, yakni Larry Page disukai oleh sekitar 95 persen para karyawan Google.
Sosok Tim Cook juga ternyata memiliki popularitas yang cukup tinggi di mata karyawan Apple. Glassdoor.com mengungkapkan bahwa sebanyak 92 persen karyawan Apple menyukai CEOnya tersebut. Sementara Jeff Bezos, pimpinan Amazon mendapatkan rating sebesar 87 persen.

Ternyata Barack Obama Takut Istri

VIVAnews - Kendati menjadi orang nomor satu di negara adikuasa, namun Presiden Barack Obama tetap takut terhadap seseorang, yakni istrinya, Michelle Obama. Sebuah momen usai Obama memberikan pernyataan di hadapan Sidang Umum Majelis PBB di New York, membuka hal itu.

Laman DailyMail, Selasa 24 September 2013, mengungggah sebuah video hasil rekaman kantor berita CNN yang memuat pengakuan Obama berhenti merokok karena takut pada Michelle. Usai berpidato, Obama terlihat berbincang dengan salah satu pejabat Dewan Keamanan PBB, Maina Kiai.

Obama rupanya tidak menyadari bahwa mikrofon kecil yang dipakainya masih dalam keadaan menyala. Pengakuan itu berawal ketika Obama lebih dulu menanyakan kebiasaan merokok Kiai.  "Saya harap Anda sudah berhenti merokok," ujar Presiden ke-45 AS itu memulai percakapan.

"Kadang," kata Kiai saat ditanya Obama apakah dia telah berhenti merokok.

Namun, saat ditanya balik hal yang sama oleh Kiai, Obama mengaku telah berhenti merokok selama enam tahun.  "Itu semua karena saya takut terhadap istri," kata Obama sambil tersenyum.

Keputusan Michelle melarang sang suami bukan tanpa alasan. Pasalnya dia kerap mengakampanyekan kesehatan publik.

Namun, dia tidak malu membuka rahasia soal kebiasaan suaminya yang dulu seorang perokok. Michelle juga tegas meminta suaminya itu untuk segera berhenti, namun tidak pernah memaksanya.

"Ketika seseorang mencoba melakukan hal yang benar, maka Anda jangan pernah menyulitkan dia," ujar Michelle kepada media seperti dikutip laman Al Arabiya.

Kebiasaan merokok Obama dan upayanya untuk berhenti selama menjadi topik favorit oleh media AS, bahkan sejak awal dia mulai berkampanye di pemilu tahun 2008 silam. Di tahun pertamanya menjabat sebagai Presiden, Obama mengungkap, dia baru berhenti 95 persen dari kebiasaan buruknya itu.

Dia menyebut, kadang masih sering mencuri-curi merokok apabila sedang stres karena masalah pekerjaan.

Di tahun 2010, Juru Bicara Gedung Putih, Robert Gibbs, mengatakan bosnya itu sudah mulai berhenti merokok selama enam bulan. Obama sendiri mengaku tidak pernah merokok di depan kedua putrinya, Sasha dan Malia.

Pernyataan Obama yang mengungkap bahwa dirinya tidak merokok selama enam tahun, bertentangan dengan kalimat Michelle pada Februari 2011 silam. Saat itu dia mengatakan Obama baru berhenti menjadi perokok selama setahun.

Kebaikan berbuah manis. Seorang tunawisma di Boston, Amerika Serikat yang mengembalikan uang temuan senilai lebih dari Rp400 juta mendapatkan imbalan lebih dari Rp1 miliar. Uang ini adalah hasil donasi dari rakyat AS yang kagum dengan kejujuran pria ini.




Diberitakan Daily Mail, Kamis 19 September 2013, pria yang sebelumnya anonim ini diketahui bernama Glen James. Kakek tua ini mengembalikan tas yang dia temukan pada polisi. Dalam tas itu, ada uang tunai US$2.400, setara Rp27,3 juta, dan Cek Perjalanan American Express senilai US$39.500 atau hampir Rp450 juta.

Berita kebaikan James tersebar di media. Seorang manajer akuntan di Virginia, Ethan Whittington, memutuskan untuk menggalang dana di internet sebagai hadiah untuk James pada Senin sore lalu. Hasilnya mengejutkan. 

Empat hari berselang, tercatat lebih dari 4.000 orang telah mendonasikan uang untuk James. Totalnya saat ini sudah lebih dari US$118.000 atau sekitar Rp1,3 miliar, dan masih terus bertambah. Beberapa orang bahkan berniat mendonasikan komputer, pakaian, makanan dan yang lainnya.

Awalnya, target donasi hanya US$50.000. Namun melihat antusiasme donatur yang terus bermunculan, dalam dua hari target terpenuhi. Akhirnya Whittington meningkatkan targetnya menjadi US$250.000, lebih dari Rp2 miliar.

"Saya tidak menyangka. Saya senang sekali. Melakukan sesuatu demi seseorang yang tidak kau kenal, ini luar biasa," kata Whittington.

Dia mengatakan bahwa seluruh uang tersebut akan diserahkan pada James. Sebelumnya, dia juga mendapatkan penghargaan dari Komisaris Polisi Boston Edward Davis Senin lalu, atas "kejujuran dan karakter yang luar biasa".

Discourse of Independent President Candidate in Indonesia

Good Afternoon ladies and gentlemen

If you become the Mr. President in the future, what will be in your mind? Busy? Rich? Famous? .Ok! Today, I’m going to talk about discourse of independent president. Firts, I will talk about pro-contra about this problem, and then I’ll also talk about the disadvantages about that. Further I will make a conclusion what I have talk about, and then open question and answer session.

First, I’ll start with the pro-contra about this problem. www.republika.co.id says : Discourse of independent president candidate re-emerged in the Indonesia political in pre-election 2014, this discourse had appeared before, when the election president and vice president in 2009. In one side, the discourse of independent president candidate will improving the quality of democracy and also the level of community participation in Indonesia. While the other one says that the discourse of independent president candidate will only destroy the existing democratic order in Indonesia. And this debate make a confused to public.

And then, www.muslimpoliticians.blogspot.com says : the nomination of the President independent also have many weaknesses. Weaknesses include: First, Independent Candidate must work harder, because absence of an institution that can support them, the independent candidates work alone to win her own without the help of political parties because candidates are not supported by any political party. The second, if later elected, it will be difficult for independent candidates to run the wheels of government because the opportunity for the Parliament which is a collection of political party members to tackle government policy. The third, Independent candidates will have difficulty in competing with candidates from political parties, especially the big political parties who obviously has a lot of experience in the Presidential election. And the last, another disadvantage is that if an independent candidate was elected President later it is highly possible lack of control against the president. This is because the President is not a person or a party member so that the parties no longer can control directly.

And finally the conclusion is. Independent candidate is make Indonesia more democracy, but independent president candidate is not suitable to be applied, because there is many weaknesses. So, the best recommendation I can give to fix this problems is, the public discontent with the political parties must be solve immediately, political parties must improve they capability, and then make a significant change to change public opinion, so discourse independent president candidate who appears to the public will disappear by self, and then the public confidence in political parties will back by self. The Repairing System In The Merak Harbor

Nowadays, transportations become very important thing to make accelerate economic system in the world. If the transportations getting in a problems, who comes to get hurt? The Countries? The government? The people? Every body in this world will be get hurt if one the tools of economic system in problems. Today, I’m going to talk about the problem in the Merak harbor. I will discuss about the causes of truck queues at the Merak harbor, as well as the impact caused by the truck queue. Further I will make a conclusion what I have talk about, and then open question and answer session.

I’ll start with the causes. Media Indonesia says : Truck queues that occur at the Merak harbor caused by many things, among others are: First, because increasing amount of cargo, where there is an increase demand by 11 %. The second because declining number of ships ready for operation, at that time 2 units ship suffered technical damage and 7 units of ships conducting the annual docking, thus, from 33 units of Ro-ro ships in the cross-Merak-Bakauheni only 24 units available on the track. Third, because the age of ships in cross-Merak - Bakauheni average is very old, aged 10-20 years there are 6 ships, 20-30 years there are 15 ships and more than 30 years old there were 12 ships. And finally, the cause is due to the strong winds accompanied by high waves, causing decreased services.

Now the impact. Media Indonesia says : the impact caused by queuing trucks in the Merak harbor, among others: late delivery things from Java to Sumatra, this causes declining quality of an item even broken, for example vegetables and fruits, this affects to consumers  they will not to buy it, and result is the traders losing money. And rumored that the national transport entrepreneurs (Organda) suffer losses IDR. 1.5 billions daily.

And the conclusion is, truck queues that happen at the Merak harbor caused by several things, there are : increasing the load, damage to the ship because it was old, and also because of bad weather. This disaster get hurt various parties, from business to consumers, from the people to government. Therefore, my recomendations is the government should to solve this problem as soon as possible.
